3. Collection and storage of personal data
a) When you visit the website
When you access our website, your browser automatically sends information to our server, which is temporarily stored in a log file:
- IP address
- date and time of access
- name and URL of the requested file
- the website from which access was made
- browser used and, where applicable, the operating system
This data is processed to provide the website and to ensure system security (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
b) Hosting
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. Vercel processes the access data listed above on our behalf. Transfers to the USA are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and, additionally, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
c) Contact form and email
If you send us enquiries via the contact form or by email, your details, including your contact information, are stored in order to process the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). We do not pass this data on without your consent.
To protect against spam, we check form submissions automatically: using a hidden field, a signed timestamp and a short-term limit on requests per IP address. For this purpose, the IP address is only processed transiently in memory and is not stored permanently (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; legitimate interest in preventing abuse). We do not use third-party services such as reCAPTCHA.
We use the email service Resend (Resend, Inc., 2261 Market Street #5039, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA) as a processor to deliver form messages to us. Transfers to the USA are based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. The data is deleted once your enquiry has been fully processed, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
4. Disclosure of data
Your personal data is only transferred to third parties if this is permitted by law or if you have expressly consented.
5. Cookies, local storage and audience measurement
a) Consent banner
On your first visit, a banner asks whether you agree to anonymous audience measurement. We store your choice (“Essential only” or “Accept all”) in your browser’s local storage so that the banner does not reappear on every page. This storage is technically necessary (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG, Art. 6 (1) (c) and (f) GDPR). You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page.
b) Vercel Web Analytics
Only if you click “Accept all” do we use Vercel Web Analytics (Vercel Inc., address above) for statistical evaluation of page views. No cookies are set; visits are counted using an anonymised hash that changes daily and does not allow recognition across several days or websites. Data collected includes the page visited, referrer, country, browser and device type. The legal basis is your consent (§ 25 (1) TDDDG, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future.
c) Fonts
Fonts are loaded from our own server; no data is transferred to third parties. We do not use any other cookies, tracking or marketing services.
6. Your rights
You have the right at any time to:
- access your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR)
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- erasure of your data, unless statutory retention obligations apply (Art. 17 GDPR)
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
To exercise your rights, please contact the controller named above.
7. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority about our processing of your personal data. The authority responsible for us is:
